Where it comes from
DNA Genetics built LA Confidential from OG LA Affie and an Afghani phenotype, a 100 percent indica of some pedigree. She rose to prominence in the early 2000s, placing second and third in the High Times Cannabis Cup for best indica in 2004 and 2005, and did so without ever quite explaining her methods. The name is well chosen: this is a discreet plant that keeps its own counsel, and the record bears the reputation out on both the shelf and the nose.
Nose & flavour
Piney and earthy, with a pungent, herbal edge and subtle hints of pepper and citrus underneath. The trick of her is that the buds do not smell like much until they are broken apart, which keeps things discreet after cultivation, confidential by name and in practice. Once cracked, though, the classic skunky aroma and smooth, piney character make themselves fully known.
