How to grow L.A. Amnesia
Taste
Seb's take
Amnesia Haze and Kush combine for a sativa-dominant cross that asks for very little beyond warmth and sun. Fruity and gassy on the nose, the high lands fast and hard, energising, uplifting, happy. A low, wide shrub that shines, quite literally, under trichome once she's ripe.
Where it comes from
Paradise Seeds worked from Dutch genetics, Amnesia Haze and Kush, and with two parents that well known the result surprises no one: a sativa-dominant, high-performance feminized plant that lands hard and fast. The Amnesia Haze supplies the immediacy and the reach, the Kush the resin and a little ballast. She keeps a preference inherited from warmer country, persistent in seeking out the sun, which tells you where her comfort lies before you have grown a single seed.
Nose & flavour
Fruity and gassy, the two notes working against each other in the way the better Haze-Kush crosses tend to. The fruit gives it approachability, the fuel gives it the edge, and the trichome load is heavy enough that the buds seem to shine once ripe. It is a forward, glistening aroma rather than a subtle one, and it does not travel discreetly.
The high
The record's own highlight is how immediate the effects are, and that is the headline. Energising and uplifting to open, happy and bright throughout, with a relaxed note underneath rather than any real weight. It arrives quickly and makes itself known, a sativa-forward experience that lifts before it soothes. Effective, in the plain sense of the word.
Growing it
Undemanding, by the breeder's account, asking minimal attention beyond warmth and light. Height runs low to medium, giving the appearance of a large shrub, dense and wide with tails full of trichome-covered buds. Flowering spans 49 to 63 days, quick at the short end, and she returns a generous 600 g/m². THC is quoted at 20 to 24 percent, with CBD at 0.2 percent. She prefers warmer climates to cold ones and follows the sun, so a Mediterranean spot or a warm indoor room suits her best. Little maintenance, heavy reward.
