Seb's take

Seb Silverback

A twice-crossed China Yunnan line layered back onto Kali Mist, finishing in a brisk seven to nine weeks. Mango and sweet cream lead the nose, with spice and incense underneath, and the high runs psychedelic, relaxed and euphoric. A cool final month sharpens the resin considerably.

Where it comes from

Ace Seeds build Kali China by folding a China Yunnan landrace back onto a Kali Mist and Yunnan cross, twice over, so the Chinese line runs deep. Seventy-five per cent indica, and the doubled Yunnan gives her an unusual character among the usual suspects. Kali Mist lends the lift; the Yunnan the resin and the exotic edge. A landrace-heavy cross with genuine pedigree behind its short schedule.

Nose & flavour

Mango and sweet cream lead the nose, ripe and rich, with spice and incense working underneath, an unusual, almost dessert-like profile with an exotic thread. The Yunnan influence shows in the incense. Distinctive and moreish. Not a nose you will mistake for anything else.

The high

Psychedelic, relaxed and euphoric, a fuller, headier experience than the indica lean might suggest, the Kali Mist and Yunnan lines pulling in interesting directions. At fourteen to twenty-two per cent THC the band is wide, so a measured first acquaintance serves best. A high with more going on than most; approach it with curiosity and care.

Growing it

She grows easily indoors and finishes fast, seven to nine weeks, or forty-nine to sixty-three days. The record offers a useful tip: keep her around twenty-five degrees through growth and the first four weeks of flower, then drop to roughly twenty for the last month to thicken the resin. Outdoors she is ready by late September or early October. No yield or height figure is recorded, so let her structure guide you. A quick, rewarding plant for the attentive grower.
