Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Congo Sativa crossed onto Kali China F4, trading Kali China's usual quick finish for a longer 11-to-13-week flower in exchange for denser, more resinous buds. Pungent, mint and lemon on the nose; the high is happy, euphoric and energetic. Christmas-tree shaped and pest-resistant, ready outdoors by the first week of November.

Where it comes from

Ace Seeds crossed a Congo sativa onto Kali China, selected here with the Kali China F4, and traded the usual quick finish for something denser and more resinous. Seventy percent sativa, and an F1 hybrid that lets the fast-flowering Kali China mix with premium genetics that take a little longer to develop their buds. A cross made for quality over haste, then, and honest about the exchange.

Nose & flavour

Pungent up front, with mint and lemon cutting through it, a sharp, fresh, faintly herbal profile rather than a sweet one. It is a distinctive nose, the mint being the note that lingers. The densely resinous buds carry it well, and it wears the Kali China side plainly.

The high

Happy, euphoric and energetic, a bright and buoyant effect in keeping with the sativa majority. The kind of lift that suits the daytime and keeps the head engaged rather than weighing it down. Uplifting throughout, with little in the way of a heavy settle to slow it.

Growing it

A feminized plant at 15 to 18% THC, with a listed 0.2% CBD. Flowering is the trade-off, 70 to 84 days, roughly eleven to twelve weeks, longer than Kali China alone in exchange for denser, more resinous buds. She grows into a Christmas-tree shape with a typical sativa structure, strong branching and short-to-medium nodes. The record lists the yield only as high, without a figure I would quote, and it depends heavily on method and experience. She comes resistant to pests and mould, and is ready outdoors by the first week of November. Patient, resilient, and worth the wait.
