Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Jack Herer crossed with AMS into a compact Indica-dominant hybrid that makes the most of limited space without sacrificing yield. Sweet pine and earth on the nose; tightly spaced, resin-coated buds deliver a relaxed, creative, medicinal calm. Dreamlike, and easy to grow into the bargain.

Where it comes from

Green House cross Jack Herer with AMS here, an indica-dominant pairing at seventy to thirty. The Jack Herer lends its familiar lift; AMS pulls the structure compact and tightens the bud spacing. The result makes the most of limited space without giving up on potency, a sensible piece of breeding for the grower short on room but not ambition.

Nose & flavour

Sweet up front, with pine and earth grounding it, a clean, resinous nose rather than a fruity one. The tightly spaced, resin-coated buds carry the scent well. Understated and pleasant, in keeping with the plant's easy temperament. Nothing overstated about her.

The high

Relaxed and creative, with a soothing calm that lives up to the name, a gentle, dreamlike ease rather than a heavy shutdown. At twenty-four per cent THC there is real weight behind it, so the calm arrives with authority. A high for the end of the day, when nothing further is required of you.

Growing it

She flowers in roughly fifty-six to sixty-three days and stays compact, which makes her a tidy fit for a small space or a full canopy. The yield is recorded as heavy rather than by figure, so I will not put a number on it, but tightly spaced, resin-coated buds suggest she earns the description. Easy to grow, by the breeder's account, and forgiving of enthusiasm. A rewarding plant for a modest footprint.
