Skunk crossed with an Afghani hash plant, growing with the sort of uniform, disciplined structure you'd expect from a name like Intense. Given a little extra care she produces enormous, crystal-laden flowers indoors or under glass. Possibly the only strain that demands more experience to smoke than to grow — a rare distinction.
Where it comes from
Skunk crossed with an Afghani hash plant, and De Sjamaan Seeds have named the result with rather more candour than most breeders manage. The Afghani side accounts for the discipline in the structure and the weight of resin; the Skunk lends the reliability. Eighty per cent indica, and it shows in the uniform, regular buds that arrive the same way every time. A plant bred to behave itself, which is the sort of thing one comes to appreciate.
Nose & flavour
The record is sparing on the particulars of the nose, so I shall not invent one, though the Skunk in her ancestry rarely stays quiet for long. What it does promise is coverage: enormous, crystal-laden flowers that dress heavily for the occasion. Take that as the warning it is. The scent, one suspects, does not travel discreetly.
The high
The breeders make a curious claim: that this is possibly the only cannabis strain requiring more experience to smoke than to grow. The THC is billed simply as high, and one takes them at their word. Approach as you would a staircase in the dark, a strain that rewards the seasoned rather than the merely enthusiastic.
Growing it
She finishes quickly, in roughly forty-six to forty-nine days, and stays manageable at 120 to 150cm. The great virtue here is uniformity: consistent structure, regular buds, plants that behave as a group rather than a collection of individuals. Given a little extra care indoors or under glass, she produces enormous, crystal-covered flowers. No yield figure is recorded, but resin of this order suggests she will gum up your scissors before the job is done. Forgiving of enthusiasm, and honest about what she is.
