Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Snow Lotus crossed with Nepali OG, split evenly and pitched more approachably than most modern heavyweights at 14-20% THC. Strawberry and berry fill the nose; the high is creative and giggly at first, settling into relaxation without tipping into couch-lock or restlessness, honest about what it is.

Where it comes from

Snow Lotus crossed with Nepali OG by World Wide Cultivars, an even 50:50 hybrid pitched, the record notes, rather more approachably than most modern heavyweights. Snow Lotus brings the berry-rich character, Nepali OG the OG backbone and the mountain heritage in its name. The record makes much of the resinous buds and their appeal for extracts, and of a balance that keeps the mood from tipping too far in either direction.

Nose & flavour

Strawberry and berry lead the nose, sweet and bright, the record making the fruit the centrepiece of the whole profile. It is a clean, appetising aroma, more fruit bowl than fuel depot, and a fair advertisement for the resin behind it. A straightforward, moreish nose, and an inviting one, with none of the heavy funk that weighs down so many of its shelf-mates.

The high

Creative and giggly at first, a light and cheerful opening, before it settles into relaxation as the session unfolds. The even split, the record notes, keeps it from tipping into either couch-lock or restless energy, which is a genuine virtue. A well-balanced, sociable high, and an honest one about what it is: agreeable middle ground rather than an extreme in either direction.

Growing it

Flowering runs 56 to 70 days on a medium plant of around 150cm, returning a heavy 610 g/m². THC is recorded at a moderate 14 to 20 per cent, with around 1 per cent CBD, which the record rightly notes makes the experience approachable next to the stronger heavyweights. Standard in her demands, and the resinous buds carry a clear appeal for the extractor. A sensible, generous grow with a gentler ceiling than most.
