Seb's take

Seb Silverback

California Haze crossed with the original Dutch Amnesia, and it shows — this one wants headroom, reaching 3 to 4 metres outdoors if you let her. Sativa-dominant at 80%, fast-finishing for the type, and forgiving enough for beginners despite the size she has in mind.

Where it comes from

California Haze crossed with the original Dutch Amnesia, bred by Humboldt Seeds Organization into an 80 percent sativa hybrid, and the ancestry announces itself in her size and her lift alike. Two haze heavyweights, one Californian, one from Holland, joined into something fast-finishing for the type. A serious sativa pedigree, and a plant that grows exactly as tall as that suggests she might.

Nose & flavour

The record leaves the specific notes blank, so the Haze and Amnesia in her blood must stand in: both parents lean toward the bright, incense-and-citrus, spicy-sativa end of the aroma range rather than anything sweet or heavy. Expect a lively, hazy nose in keeping with the family. Unrecorded, but pointed firmly in one direction by the genetics.

The high

No effect notes are given, but an 80 percent sativa at up to 24 percent THC tells its own story: expect a bright, cerebral, energetic lift rather than anything settling. This is daytime territory by nature, clear-headed and upward. Strong with it, so a measured first session is wise despite the sativa's sociable reputation.

Growing it

This one wants room. She reaches 200 to 300cm, stretching to three or four metres outdoors if allowed, so give her the headroom or keep her in check with training, which the record notes she takes well to. Flowering runs sixty-five to seventy days, around sixty-eight, for 500 to 600 g/m² indoors. Despite the scale, she is rated forgiving of enthusiasm, suiting beginners as well as old hands. Fast-finishing for a Haze, and generous once housed properly.
