How to grow Channel +
Taste
Seb's take
Big Bud and Skunk behind a strain that starts thin and Sativa-shaped before filling out into Indica bulk as flowering takes hold. High THC throughout, with an indoor yield around 600g/m² and an outdoor habit that reaches three metres and better than a kilo a plant. Give her the headroom.
Where it comes from
Medical Seeds built Channel + from Big Bud and Skunk, an even 50/50 hybrid that carries the size of the one and the vigour of the other. Big Bud is a byword for weight, Skunk for reliability, and the pairing shows in both the yield and the temperament. The plant begins life with a thin, sativa-leaning structure before filling out into indica bulk as flowering takes hold, a genuine change of shape mid-course.
Nose & flavour
The record keeps the terpene notes to itself, so no false claims here on the nose. What can be said, from the parentage, is that the Skunk side rarely arrives quietly and the Big Bud side rarely arrives light. Read her aroma, then, as a matter for your own jar rather than my invention; the character will announce itself soon enough.
The high
The effect is not detailed in the record beyond a high THC content, stated between 15 and 20%, so I will not put words in the plant's mouth. What is plain is the strength on offer, and with Skunk and Big Bud behind her, a substantial, full-bodied experience is the safe expectation. A strain that lets the numbers speak while keeping the finer detail to itself.
Growing it
This is a big plant, and she means it. Indoors, after two to three weeks of veg, flowering completes in a fast seven to eight weeks for a total of around 600 g/m², and she suits SCRoG work well. Outdoors she grows with vigour, reaching upwards of three metres and better than a kilo of total yield per plant, ready to harvest in late September. Give her the headroom above all else; left to her own devices she will use every inch of it.
