How to grow Champion
Taste
Seb's take
Hindu Kush and Skunk #14 combine for a classic Cheese character — musky, pungent, woody, with piney undertones and a hint of herbs and spice. The effect is a strong, sleepy body high, relaxing and long-lasting against pain and stress. A solid, unpretentious performer, true to its lineage rather than its name.
Where it comes from
Heavyweight Seeds crossed Hindu Kush with Skunk #14 for this 70% indica hybrid, and the result is true to its lineage rather than its name. The Hindu Kush side lends the deep, resinous indica backbone, while Skunk #14 brings the loud, unmistakable Cheese character that defines her. A solid, unpretentious performer, the sort that lets its parentage do the talking rather than the branding.
Nose & flavour
The nose is classic Cheese, musky and pungent, woody with earthy and piney undertones and a hint of herbs and spice underneath. It is a full-bodied, savoury aroma, more cellar than fruit bowl, and it does not travel discreetly. Those who know the Cheese family will recognise her at once.
The high
The effect is a strong body high, relaxing and sleepy, and it lasts for hours rather than minutes. It settles into the limbs and keeps you there, an evening's companion rather than a daytime one. Long, heavy and comfortable, the sitting-down sort through and through. Approach an appointment the following morning with a little caution.
Growing it
Feminized, with a manageable medium frame between 100 and 150cm. Flowering runs a standard 56 to 63 days, and indoor yields are stated at a healthy 500 to 550 g/m². THC sits at 19.5%, with a touch of CBD at 0.8%. She grows as an even, dependable indica, neither difficult nor demanding, and rewards a patient grower with dense, resinous flower true to her Cheese heritage. A sturdy, honest plant that earns its keep without asking much in return.
