Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Brazilian, Himalayan and Afghan genetics, enriched with CBD stock, make for a well-travelled, well-rounded hybrid. Sweet, spiced and floral on the nose; a brief cerebral buzz gives way to a mellow, long, relaxed finish, aided by up to 18% CBD. Useful against anxiety and chronic pain alike.

Where it comes from

Barney's Farm reached across three continents for this one, a Brazilian line, a Himalayan and an Afghan, then enriched with CBD stock to lift the cannabinoid to match the THC. Seventy percent indica, and a genuinely well-travelled pedigree for a well-rounded plant. The result is that unusual thing, a roughly one-to-one balance of THC and CBD, arrived at through some patient international breeding. A considered cross rather than a lucky one.

Nose & flavour

Sweet and floral with a spiced edge, a warm, rounded nose that leans comforting rather than sharp. The breadth of the lineage seems to have softened rather than complicated it. Gentle and inviting, more caramel than fuel.

The high

A brief cerebral buzz gives way to a mellow, long-lasting relaxation, with a creative streak running through, well-rounded and mild for something eighteen percent indica-dominant. The 18 percent CBD alongside the 18 percent THC keeps it even and unhurried. An easy, sustained effect that neither races nor flattens.

Growing it

A regular strain, so expect both sexes from seed and plan to sex them as they show. She flowers fast, 50 to 60 days, stays compact at 110cm, and yields heavily, 700 to 800 g/m². The cannabinoids sit level at 18 percent each of THC and CBD, an even balance that is the whole point of her. A productive, well-behaved plant; the main extra task over a feminized line is simply removing the males in good time.
