Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Apple Betty crossed with a CBD Auto and an unnamed Ruderalis, built for an easy grow and an easier comeback from a hard day. Spice, fruit and chocolate on the nose; relaxed, medicinal and happy, with an appetite that arrives before the calm does. Mild in THC, and unbothered about proving otherwise.

Where it comes from

Herbies built this from a flavourful Apple Betty, a CBD Auto and an unnamed Ruderalis, the last two doing the technical work, one supplying the high CBD, the other the autoflower habit and the ruderalis hardiness. Sixty percent indica, and robust with it. The Apple Betty carries the character; the rest keeps her easy and quick. A cross assembled for a rich flavour and a high-CBD, low-fuss finish.

Nose & flavour

Spice and fruit up front, with a distinct chocolate note underneath, a warm, dessert-leaning nose that stands apart from the usual CBD fare. The Apple Betty parent earns its place here. Rich and comforting rather than sharp, and moreish with it.

The high

Relaxed and happy, an easy settling of the body without much for the head to contend with, the appetite tends to arrive before the calm does. At a low THC against 12 to 15 percent CBD, this is a gentle, clear proposition, good for kicking back rather than getting going. Steady, undemanding company.

Growing it

An autoflower on the slower side, 70 to 80 days, reaching 110 to 150cm and returning 450 to 500 g/m². The THC is listed only as low, set against a substantial 12 to 15 percent CBD, so I leave the figure where the breeder left it. Robust, easy to grow and hardy in the ruderalis manner, she forgives a good deal of enthusiasm and the odd mistake. A sound choice for a grower after a high-CBD crop without a demanding plant to raise for it.
