Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Straight out of sunny California and happiest in a similar climate or greenhouse, compact at around 100cm with bright orange calyxes threaded through light green buds. The aroma turns properly orange and lemon once she flowers, and this 70% indica yields an honest 500g for the effort.

Where it comes from

White Label offer this as a Californian line, indica-dominant at seventy percent, and true to its origins it wants a Californian sort of life, long sunny summers or the shelter of a greenhouse. The name is honest about the rest: an orange in temperament as much as aroma. There is no elaborate pedigree on the record here, simply a plant that carries its home state in its habit and its scent.

Nose & flavour

Oranges and lemons, and plenty of both, the grow space fills with citrus the moment she begins to flower. Bright, clean and unmistakable, with little else crowding it out. A nose that does exactly what the name puts on the tin, and does it with some enthusiasm.

The high

The record keeps quiet on the particulars, and at a modest 10 to 15 percent THC this is a gentler proposition than most, indica-leaning and easy-going rather than heavy-handed. Take it as an unhurried, undemanding sort of effect, honest about what it is and unbothered about being more.

Growing it

A quick finisher, 45 to 55 days, or roughly seven to nine weeks indoors, and ready by the end of October outdoors. She stays short and compact, usually around 100cm, throwing plenty of side branches and taking training of any kind without complaint. Yields run generous at 500 to 650 g/m², averaging near 500g for the effort, at 10 to 15 percent THC. Give her sun or a greenhouse and she is a forgiving, productive plant.
