How to grow Bubblegum Auto
Taste
Seb's take
A subtler echo of the photoperiod original — sweet candy and caramel on the nose rather than the full fanfare — but the effect is, if anything, more pronounced: a long, couch-locking indica finish ready in just 75 days, forgiving of enthusiasm for anyone new to growing.
Where it comes from
Kera Seeds' automatic version of their popular Bubblegum, a cross of the original with a Ruderalis mix to bring in the autoflowering habit. The record positions it plainly: the same excellent results as the photoperiod original, delivered on a shorter, simpler timetable. The Bubblegum supplies the sweet character and the reputation; the Ruderalis handles the timing. One aimed squarely at growers new to the craft who want the flavour without the fuss.
Nose & flavour
A subtler echo of the photoperiod original — sweet with hints of candy and caramel, the record admits, rather than the full fanfare. There is the familiar earthy base and citrus edge beneath, but the whole is dialled back a touch by the automatic genetics. Still recognisably Bubblegum, still confectionery and pleasant, simply delivered at a quieter volume.
The high
If anything, more pronounced than the original: a long-lasting indica effect that, in the record's own words, almost always ends in couch-lock. Creative and euphoric on the way there, happy and relaxing throughout, but make no mistake about the destination — you will not be needed elsewhere by the end of it. Weighty, enduring company for an unhurried evening.
Growing it
A slow autoflower, flowering in 70 to 84 days but ready in around 75 days from harvest, at a medium 70 to 110cm. Yields are modest at a stated 300 to 350 g/m², with potency at 16 to 20% THC and CBD given as medium. The record makes her ease the selling point — the same results as the original with none of the photoperiod bother, and genuinely forgiving of enthusiasm for anyone taking their first run at growing.
