How to grow Amnesia Auto
Taste
Seb's take
Kera's autoflowering take on Amnesia Haze, sweet and musky with a citrus edge on the nose. The high stays true to the original — psychedelic, relaxed, euphoric — packed into a fast-growing, heavy-yielding plant that asks little of the grower.
Where it comes from
Amnesia, the record ties her to the famous Amnesia Haze, crossed with a ruderalis clone, which is Kera's route to an autoflowering version of one of the most planted sativa hybrids in the world. The ruderalis hands the plant its own clock and its short stature; the Amnesia side keeps the character. It is a well-worn formula, and a sound one: take a proven photoperiod line, add ruderalis, and lose as little of the parent as the cross will allow. Here, by the record's account, rather little is lost.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and citrus with a musky undertone, the Amnesia citrus intact, softened and deepened by the musk into something warmer than the sharp original. It is a fuller nose than most autoflowers of this size manage, the ruderalis notwithstanding. Pleasant, rounded, and faithful enough to the parent that you would know the family in a blind sniff.
The high
True to the parent: psychedelic to open, then relaxed and euphoric as it settles, the Amnesia drift kept largely intact despite the ruderalis in the mix, which is the whole trick of a good autoflower conversion. At 19% THC it carries real substance for an auto of this class. A head-forward experience with a gentle landing, and more of the original than the format might lead you to expect.
Growing it
Short and compact, 50 to 90cm, so headroom is never in question. Flowering runs a patient 70 to 84 days, long for an autoflower, the haze parentage levying its usual tax on your patience, and the harvest is modest at 275 to 300g/m², which is the honest trade for keeping the character in a plant this small. She asks little of the grower along the way. A forgiving, low-demand auto that gives you the Amnesia experience without the wait for a tall photoperiod plant.
