Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Wood, earth and blueberry on the nose, from an 80/20 Indica-leaning cross of Blueberry, Shiva Skunk and Hindu Kush. The Sativa sliver shows up first — euphoric, creative, cerebral — before the Indica majority settles things into a smoother finish. Bushy, sturdy, and honest about what it is to grow.

Where it comes from

Sensi Seeds assembled Blue Skunk from Blueberry, Shiva Skunk and Hindu Kush, a trio that stacks two heavyweight Indica names behind a single fruit specialist. The Blueberry supplies the nose, the Shiva Skunk the resin and vigour, and the Hindu Kush the settled body weight, leaving her at 80 percent Indica overall. It is a deliberately balanced piece of work from one of the older houses: a plant that grows with what the breeders call classic Indica confidence and smokes with just enough Sativa on top to keep it interesting.

Nose & flavour

Woody and earthy first, with blueberry threaded through rather than sitting on top, a drier, more grounded read on the family fruit than most of its cousins offer. The Kush and Skunk in the line pull the sweetness back toward something savoury and settled. An earthy nose, honest about what it is.

The high

The Sativa fifth shows up first: a euphoric, cerebral opening with a creative push behind it, brighter than the plant's heavy build would lead you to expect. Then the Indica majority takes over and smooths the whole thing down into a settled body finish. A high with two acts, in other words, a lively overture and a comfortable resolution.

Growing it

She finishes quickly, in 50 to 55 days, and reaches roughly 120 to 140cm on a bushy, sturdy frame that carries its dense buds without complaint. Indoor yields land between 488 and 549 g/m², which the breeders fairly call above average, and better still, she asks for very little to get there, rewarding basic care and minimal upkeep with solid, resinous colas. A forgiving plant for the grower who would rather not fuss.
