Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Black Cream Auto grows compact and indica-shaped, its buds turning from purple to near-black as they dry – the name is not marketing. Sweet and fruity on the nose, with an earthy undertone from her Cream Caramel side, the effect drifts from creative ease into a relaxed, sleepy finish. Honest about what it is.

Where it comes from

Cream Caramel crossed with Pakistani Kush, an almost-pure indica autoflower from Sweet Seeds — eighty-seven per cent, with the Kush side supplying the density and the Cream Caramel the sweetness. The name is not marketing: around eight in ten plants take on purple and reddish tones through flowering, and the dried buds finish a dark, near-black purple. A striking plant, and honestly titled for it.

Nose & flavour

Very sweet and fruity up front, with the earthy undertone inherited from her Cream Caramel side sitting beneath — a dessert nose grounded by soil rather than left to float. It is a rich, confectionery profile with just enough weight to keep it from cloying. The kind of jar you open twice: once to use, once to smell.

The high

The effect drifts from an early creative ease into a relaxed, sleepy finish — a gentle downward arc at fifteen to eighteen per cent that suits the end of a day. Nothing overpowering, nothing sharp; it settles you by degrees rather than all at once. Honest about what it is, and content to see you quietly to the armchair.

Growing it

Seed to harvest runs about fifty-six days, and she stays compact and indica-shaped — sixty to a hundred and ten centimetres, with short internodes that pack the growth into a big main cola. She is a strong resin producer, so those scissors will need cleaning come trim. The return is a solid 350 to 550 g/m². An easy, good-looking auto that all but grows itself, and turns a fine colour doing it.
