Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Original Shark crossed through several generations of unnamed Ruderalis, growing into a medium, compact plant whose buds get heavy enough with resin to need staking. Sweet, skunky florals on the nose; the high is relaxed, euphoric and calming, generous with crystal for a plant this size.

Where it comes from

The record traces Auto Shark to Original Shark, crossed through several unnamed generations of Ruderalis to autoflower the line, with Northern Lights and Super Skunk named among her lineage. Pyramid Seeds selected for superior genetics and a slightly bigger stature than her predecessors, and the skunk heritage is plain in both name and aroma. A shark, then, bred more for the bite of the smell than for any menace in the plant itself, which is mild-mannered enough for any grower.

Nose & flavour

An intense, skunky character leads, sweet at the front, floral around the edges, and unmistakably descended from Super Skunk. The record makes much of the intensity, and it is not exaggerating. A loud, classic aroma of the old school, the sort that fills a room and lingers politely afterwards. Rich, unsubtle, and true to its family.

The high

Relaxed, euphoric and calming, a settling, comfortable experience rather than a racing one, well matched to the 13% THC on the label. This is gentle water, not deep: a manageable, even-tempered high that soothes without submerging. Pleasant evening company, and forgiving of a heavy hand or an unpractised one.

Growing it

A medium, compact plant of 40 to 90cm, flowering in around 65 days for 400 g/m² and 1% CBD alongside the THC. The record notes she can reach 1.5m indoors under 600W, and that her buds grow heavy enough with resin to bend and want staking, so have a support mechanism ready before she needs one. Crystalline trichomes coat the lot. A generous plant for her size, and no great trouble to manage.
