How to grow Auto Malawi x Northern Lights
Taste
Seb's take
Ace Seeds' first autoflower, an Old Killer Malawi crossed with Auto Northern Lights and bred specifically for growers in colder climates. Strawberry and fruity notes on the nose; the high is sleepy, relaxed and calming, arriving in as little as four to five weeks from germination regardless of the weather.
Where it comes from
Ace Seeds' first venture into autoflowering genetics, and a considered one — an Old Killer Malawi crossed with Auto Northern Lights, two flavoursome, aromatic strains chosen with cold-climate growers in mind. The Malawi lends the exotic character, Northern Lights the settled indica backbone and the automatic habit. A balanced fifty-fifty hybrid prized for adaptability, and a highly sought-after first outing from a breeder better known for landrace work.
Nose & flavour
Strawberry leads, ripe and sweet, over a broader fruitiness — an appealing, summery nose that belies the Malawi's usual intensity. The strawberry is the clear headline, bright and inviting; the fruit behind it fills the profile out. A clean, agreeable aroma, more orchard than anything challenging. A genuinely pleasant thing to grind.
The high
Sleepy, relaxed and calming — the Northern Lights side steering matters firmly toward the restful, whatever the fifty-fifty makeup might suggest. A settled, easy calm rather than a bright lift, well suited to the quieter end of the day. Gentle in keeping with the ten to fifteen percent THC; an undemanding, soothing experience that unwinds rather than energises.
Growing it
Bred for colder climates, and adaptable with it — she flowers automatically just four to five weeks from germination, no lighting change required, with flowering running fifty-six to seventy days. In colder conditions the bloom starts later, though it stays quick regardless. The record quotes no height or yield figure, so neither shall be claimed; what can be said is that she suits indoor growing well and finishes fast. A forgiving, weather-hardy grow for a difficult climate.
