Seb Silverback

A short, wide plant despite the name, earthy and pungent on the nose with citrus and tropical notes lifting it. The end times, it turns out, are euphoric, happy and creative rather than anything more dramatic. Dense, sticky buds under a heavy trichome blanket, ready in eight indoor weeks.

Where it comes from

Homegrown Fantaseeds offer this feminized line under a properly apocalyptic name, though the record sets down no parents, so I will not invent a lineage to fill the silence. What it does tell us is that she looks like an Indica, short and wide with tall, dense buds, and that she is easy enough for a relatively inexperienced grower to manage. The end times, one gathers, are more comfortable than advertised.

Nose & flavour

Earthy and pungent on the nose, with citrus and tropical notes lifting it and a woody depth beneath. It is a fuller, brighter profile than the doom-laden name might suggest, the citrus and tropical sweetness cutting cleanly through the earth. A characterful aroma from buds carrying a heavy, sticky blanket of trichomes.

The high

The end times, it turns out, are euphoric, happy and creative rather than anything more dramatic, with an uplifted, relaxed quality rounding them out. This is a cheerful, lifted experience, good company for the working hours and better still for the sociable ones. THC is recorded only as high, so I will keep the number where the breeder left it and simply advise a measured hand.

Growing it

Flowering commences in eight weeks, fifty-six days indoors, or October outdoors, and the record calls the yield high without a precise figure, so the number stays unstated and the expectation generous. She is easy to grow, well suited to the relatively inexperienced, and produces short, wide plants with tall, dense, crunchy buds under plentiful trichomes. Neither height nor exact stature is set down. An obliging, forgiving grow with a heavy, sticky finish.
