How to grow American Dream Regular
Taste
Seb's take
Four countries deep in her parentage — Afghanistan, Jamaica, Hawaii and a dash of Skunk #1 — and it shows: earthy, woody, faintly chemical on the nose, with a flowery lift underneath. The high runs euphoric and focused before settling into something sleepier, happy without being loud. A well-travelled strain that has stopped rushing anywhere.
Where it comes from
Four origins in one plant: Afghanistan for the indica backbone, Skunk #1 for stability and yield, and Jamaica and Hawaii for the tropical brightness up top, a genuine world tour of a lineage, settled by Sensi Seeds at 70/30 in the indica's favour. It is an old and well-considered recipe, the island sativas lending lift to an Afghani-and-Skunk base that keeps the whole thing grounded and productive. Offered as regular seed, in keeping with Sensi's long habit of serving the breeder as much as the grower.
Nose & flavour
Two faces to the nose: an earthy, woody, faintly chemical pungency from the Afghani and Skunk side, lifted by a flowery, tropical brightness, peach, mango and citrus, carried down from the island parents. The result is fuller than either half alone, the fruit keeping the funk honest. A well-travelled aroma, and a rounded one.
The high
A clear, euphoric lift to open, focused enough to keep the head working, before the 70% indica draws it down toward relaxed, happy and, in time, sleepy. It travels from the daytime toward the evening across a single session, which is rather fitting for a plant this well travelled. On 13 to 18% THC it is measured, never overbearing: an easy, unhurried descent.
Growing it
Fast is her headline virtue: flowering closes in 45 to 50 days, brisk by any measure, which is the Afghani and Skunk earning their keep. The record calls the yield heavy but attaches no figure to it, and no height is given either, so I will quote neither and describe temperament instead, a sturdy, productive plant of the old Skunk school, undemanding and quick to reward. Regular seed, so there are males to rogue out and, for the inclined, genetics worth keeping. A dependable classic, briskly delivered.
