Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Pure Afghan Kush, unhurried about proving anything further. Wood, incense and earth on the nose, with a smoke that runs solid and smooth; the effect is sleepy, calming, relaxed to the point of time-stopping. A remedy for the end of a stressful day, not the start of one.

Where it comes from

Pure Afghan Kush, offered by Herbies with nothing bred on top of it — the foundational indica kept unhurried and unmixed. It is source stock rather than a hybrid, the kind of landrace-derived line that seeded much of what followed. A full indica, and content to prove nothing beyond what it already is. Quietly authoritative genetics.

Nose & flavour

Wood, incense and earth — a classic, resin-heavy Afghan nose, smooth and old-school in character. The incense note is the signature here, giving the smoke a warm, almost ceremonial quality. Grounded and unadorned, exactly as the pedigree promises.

The high

Sleepy, relaxed and calming — a solid, time-stopping settle that eases you thoroughly into the evening. This is a heavy indica effect, the sitting-down sort, better suited to the end of the day than the start of it. Once it takes hold, you will not be needed elsewhere.

Growing it

A medium plant at 100 to 130cm, manageable in most spaces. Flowering is fast at 50 to 60 days, true to the Afghan reputation for a quick turn. Yields land at 400 to 500 g/m². THC runs 17 to 23 percent, with CBD at 1. A resinous, forgiving grow that asks little and returns a dependable, heavy-hitting harvest. Well suited to a grower after a straightforward indica.
