Seb Silverback

Lavender Kush crossed with Amnesia, an award-winning line with seven Cannabis Cups to its name since 2014. Pungent pine and earth on the nose; relaxed, medicinal, calming on the exhale, with thick, sugar-dusted resin covering buds ready in as little as 55 days. Almost thirty per cent THC — the trophies are earned, not given.

Where it comes from

Ripper Seeds built Zombie Kush from the classic Amnesia family, crossed with the popular Sideral and then with Bubba Kush, landing indica-dominant at 80% to 20% sativa. The record credits it with a genuine trophy record — seven Cannabis Cups since 2014 — and Ripper's own parentage note (Lavender Kush and Amnesia) speaks to the lavender-tinged, resin-heavy character it carries. The trophies here are earned, not given, and the plant makes the case.

Nose & flavour

Pungent leads, loud and unmissable, with pine cutting a sharp resinous edge and earth grounding the base. It is a strong, forest-and-soil nose, the pungency giving it real carry — this is one that does not travel discreetly. The Amnesia and Lavender Kush parentage lends a floral undercurrent beneath the pine. Thick, sugar-dusted buds carry the aroma heavily; expect the room to know when it is open.

The high

Relaxed and calming on the exhale, a settling indica-led experience that eases rather than races. It is a comfortable, unhurried sort of high, the 80% indica lean showing in the weight of it — the kind of plant to see out a quiet evening rather than start a busy one. Approach the potency with respect. THC is quoted at almost thirty per cent, 29.98%, so this is a sipping strain, not a session one — the trophies are earned.

Growing it

A feminized plant at a standard pace, ready to harvest after only 55 to 60 days of flowering — around eight weeks, which is quick for the resin it carries. Ripper recommend a full four-week vegetative period before flipping to 12/12, letting the plant build enough stem and branch to develop its quality, thick buds — literally layered with resin over a sweet, sugary trichome coat. No height or yield figure is logged, so I will not state one. Clean your scissors as you trim. THC 29.98%.
