How to grow White Widow X The Ultimate
Taste
Seb's take
A male White Widow paired with a female Ultimate — Dutch Passion's answer to years of requests, and about as subtle as the name suggests. Earthy citrus and pine sit under a noticeable Haze twist; the high is strong and intense, yet leaves you upright and active. Up to 1.5m tall, 17-19% THC, no complaints about yield.
Where it comes from
Dutch Passion answered years of repeat requests for a White Widow cross by pairing a male White Widow with a female Ultimate — the Widow their strongest Indica-dominant, the Ultimate perhaps their heaviest yielder and very powerful with it. The two produce a mixed Indica-Sativa that inherits weight from one side and iconic resin from the other. A long-requested union, and about as subtle in intent as the parents' reputations suggest.
Nose & flavour
Earthy and citrus notes twisted together with pine, all sitting under a noticeable Haze taste — a bright, resinous profile carried by a plant the record calls very oily. It is a layered nose, the citrus and pine lifting an earthy base while the Haze runs across the top. Characterful and clean, with the oiliness of the plant doing the aromatics no harm at all.
The high
Strong and intense, yet it leaves you upright and active — a powerful effect that stops short of flattening you into the chair, the record noting she lets you remain engaged. A lively, robust high rather than a sedating one, the Sativa share keeping the head in play. Company for a busy evening more than a close to one; she keeps you moving.
Growing it
She grows up to 1.5m tall with very good yields and does well in all mediums, though the record marks out deep water culture for her best results. She finishes in 60 days — some plants ready as early as 8 weeks — and returns a solid 500 g/m² at 17 to 19% THC. Give her the headroom for that stretch, and consider DWC if you want the most from her. A powerful, generous plant with few complaints on the yield front.
