How to grow The Church CBD
Taste
Seb's take
The Church crossed onto a high-CBD male produces a 1:1 THC:CBD offshoot, gentler on the mind than its parent by design. Sweet, skunk and coffee notes on the nose; the effect is relaxed, calming and moderately narcotic, medicinal in intent and free of anxious edges.
Where it comes from
Green House took The Church — itself a Swiss Sativa, Super Skunk and Northern Lights affair — and crossed it onto a high-CBD male, producing a one-to-one THC-to-CBD offshoot. Both cannabinoids land between eight and eleven percent, a deliberate balance that softens the parent's lift. Sixty percent indica, like its forebear. The legacy strains give it the structure and the flavour; the CBD male gives it the gentler character. A calmer version of a decorated plant.
Nose & flavour
The nose is sweet and skunky with an unexpected coffee note beneath — roasted and rich against the Skunk pungency. A layered, savoury-sweet profile, the coffee lending it depth few strains carry. Sweet and skunk lead, the coffee grounding the whole. A characterful aroma that distinguishes it plainly from the sweeter original.
The high
With THC and CBD matched evenly at eight to eleven percent each, the effect is a gentle, level one — relaxed and calming, moderately soft-edged, without the anxious jitter a stronger flower can bring. It keeps you composed rather than lifted. An any-hour sort of experience, easy and undemanding. Company for the day as much as the evening.
Growing it
Flowering runs fifty-six to sixty-three days for a heavy 800 g/m² — the productive Church lineage carrying straight through to the CBD version. No height is set down in the record, so I'll not attach one, though the Church parentage points to a manageable, mid-sized frame. Even and generous through the cycle. A rewarding grow for anyone after a balanced, CBD-rich harvest at a photoperiod plant's scale.
