A Cannabis Cup winner from 2010 with roots reaching back to the 1990s, built from G13, Afghan and Neville's A5 Haze. Orange, citrus and berry lead the nose; the high is uplifting, relaxed and happy, a dream that has been around long enough to earn its name.
Where it comes from
Barney's Farm gathered G13, Afghan and Neville's A5 Haze into Tangerine Dream sometime around the turn of the millennium, and it went on to win the Cannabis Cup in 2010. The G13 and Afghan lend the body and the resin; Neville's A5 Haze brings the sativa lift and the aroma. Sativa-leaning at sixty percent, with a long enough history now to have earned the name rather than merely borrowed it.
Nose & flavour
The nose is orange first — bright, zesty citrus — with a berry note tucked behind it. The Haze side gives it the aromatic lift, the fruit keeping it sweet rather than sharp. Citrus leads plainly, berry rounds it off. A clean, fruit-forward profile that lives up to the first half of its name.
The high
At twenty-three percent THC the effect has genuine strength, but it lifts rather than flattens — uplifting and happy, with a relaxed warmth underneath. The sativa lean shows in the head-forward, cheerful character. Enough weight to be taken seriously, enough lift to stay pleasant company. An agreeable daytime sort, and a dependable one.
Growing it
Manageable at ninety to 100cm and productive with it, she returns 600 g/m² over a flowering of sixty to sixty-five days. A tidy frame for a sativa-leaning plant, easy to keep in a modest space. Even and dependable through the cycle, as a strain this well-established tends to be. Give her ordinary care and she returns a heavy, fragrant harvest without much drama.
