Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Grape Ape and Grapefruit plus an unnamed third parent, bred by 3rd Gen Family and Terp Hogz, a genetic footnote nobody has ever bothered to close. Sweet, citrus and berry on the nose; despite indica billing the effect sits in the head, cheerful and energetic rather than heavy-limbed.

Where it comes from

Bred by 3rd Gen Family and Terp Hogz, Sweet ZZ crosses Grape Ape with Grapefruit — and a third parent nobody has ever named, a genetic footnote left permanently open. Eighty percent indica on paper, though as we'll come to, the effect doesn't quite read the memo. The buds are a spectacle in flower, throwing greens and purples in a way the breeders rather enjoy showing off. A colourful plant with a question mark in its pedigree.

Nose & flavour

The nose is sweet with citrus from the Grapefruit side and a berry note from the Grape Ape — the two parents legible in a sniff. Bright and fruited, more fruit bowl than dessert trolley. Sweet leads, citrus sharpens, berry rounds it off. A lively, aromatic profile that matches the colour of the buds.

The high

Here's the surprise: despite eighty percent indica billing, the effect sits squarely in the head. At twenty-two percent THC it's cheerful and energetic, waves of feel-good rather than heavy limbs — happy and relaxed without the anchor you'd expect. A daytime lean from an indica-dominant plant, which is not the usual arrangement. Pleasant, and a touch contrary about it.

Growing it

Flowering runs a broad forty-nine to sixty-three days. Indoors she reaches eighty to 140cm; outdoors she stretches further, to 160 to 200cm, so the venue decides the headroom. Either way she returns 550 to 600 g/m² of that vividly coloured bud. Comfortable indoors or out, and striking to look at through flower. A rewarding grow with a bit of theatre to it, undemanding beyond giving her the room she asks for.
