Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Power Bud and Skunk combine the best of both without the usual compromise: vigorous and fast like a sativa, forgiving like an indica. Sweet, spiced, and fruity on the nose, the high uplifts before settling into calm. She stays under 150cm indoors, but outdoors, given the room, she does not do things by halves.

Where it comes from

Power Bud crossed with Skunk by Royal Queen Seeds - a true fifty-fifty hybrid that takes the best of each side: the vigour and speed of the sativa, the forgiveness and resilience of the indica. Like most Skunk-derived plants, she resists pest and disease well and asks little in return. The record presents her as a dependable all-rounder rather than a specialist, and the even genetics bear that out. A balanced plant, honestly balanced.

Nose & flavour

Sweet and fruity up front with a spiced note running through - an approachable, well-rounded nose without the pungency some Skunk crosses carry. The record keeps it uncomplicated, and the flavour follows suit. Pleasant rather than challenging; a nose that suits an everyday jar rather than a connoisseur's shelf. Easy to like, easy to return to.

The high

Eighteen per cent THC behind a high that lifts first and settles second - uplifting to begin, then easing into a relaxed calm. A balanced experience to match the balanced genetics, without pulling too hard in either direction. Even-handed and forgiving, the sort you can enjoy without committing the whole evening to it. A sensible middle register.

Growing it

Manageable indoors, staying below 150cm, but give her the sky and time to veg and she does not do things by halves - past 250cm outdoors, with yields reaching up to a kilogram per plant. Indoors she returns 500 to 550 g/m² over a fast fifty-six to sixty-three days. Skunk resilience means she resists pests and disease and needs little attention. A vigorous, generous plant that rewards space when you can spare it.
