Barney's Farm crossed two simple classics — Blueberry and an Afghan landrace — to arrive at Shiskaberry, a pure 100 percent indica with a pedigree of properly legendary origin. There is nothing overwrought about the parentage; it is two well-loved names put together with care, the Blueberry lending the fruit and the Afghan the density. A straightforward cross, then, but a considered one, and the sort where simplicity is rather the point of the exercise.
Nose & flavour
A berry explosion up front, spiced and earthy underneath — the Blueberry side making its presence felt in full, with the Afghan lending a hashy, grounded depth beneath the fruit. It is a sweet, berry-forward profile with enough spice and soil to keep it from being merely sugary.
