Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Haze #2 crossed with a Skunk and Northern Lights hybrid, growing like an outsized sativa but flowering like an indica — the best of both disciplines. Classic haze aromas and flavours carry through into a lasting, head-forward high. At 16-20% THC, a strain that takes its time to make its point.

Where it comes from

Haze #2 sits at the head of this one, crossed with a Skunk and Northern Lights hybrid, a pairing that folds two disciplines into one plant. The Haze brings the towering, cerebral sativa habit; the Skunk and Northern Lights side, both indica-inflected workhorses, lend structure and resin. Dinafem's aim was a plant that grows like an outsized sativa but flowers like an indica, taking the strengths of each. A classic-leaning cross with a long pedigree behind every name in it.

Nose & flavour

The record names no fine detail, but it is candid about the headline: classic haze aromas and flavours, carried through intact. That means the incense-and-spice register the Haze family is known for, bright, aromatic and lingering. I will not embellish past what is on the page, but a haze this pure tends to announce itself clearly enough.

The high

A lasting, head-forward affair, the hallmark of a good Haze, and here undiluted. At 16 to 20% THC it is a cerebral, soaring sort of high rather than a sedating one, the kind that settles into the mind and stays a while. One for an unhurried stretch of time, given how long it likes to linger.

Growing it

Patience is the price of admission. She grows like a true sativa, the record puts her at a towering 450cm given her head, so this is emphatically a plant for space, whether a tall tent or the open air. Flowering runs a lengthy 70 to 80 days, sativa-slow, but she flowers like an indica, packing on denser bud than her frame suggests, for yields of 450 to 500 g/m². At 16 to 20% THC, a big, deliberate grow that takes its time to make its point.
