How to grow Purple
Taste
Seb's take
So distinctive that Pyramid Seeds could find no better name than the plainly obvious one: Purple. Sweet berry and fruit on the nose, from a fifty-fifty blend that stays compact indoors at 70 to 120cm, give or take. Sixty days to flower, and generous yields both indoors and out for a plant with such a modest name.
Where it comes from
Pyramid Seeds found the phenotypes so distinctive that no name would do but the plainly obvious one. Its lilac colouring was drawn together from purple varieties selected across different parts of the world, a fifty-fifty Indica and Sativa blend assembled for the look as much as anything. Sometimes the simplest name is the most honest one.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and fruity, with a clear berry note running through, an easy, approachable nose to match an easy-going plant. Nothing loud or challenging here, just ripe fruit and a little sugar, the sort of profile that offends nobody and pleases most.
The high
The effect is balanced, as the even genetics would suggest: relaxed and happy without dropping into sedation, an energetic thread keeping it sociable. A mild-mannered high in keeping with a mild-mannered strain, agreeable company that neither demands much nor overstays.
Growing it
Compact indoors at 70 to 120cm, medium in build, and quick to turn, around 60 days in flower, by which point she has coloured a proper violet-purple. Indoors she gives 450 g/m² and up; outdoors a far wider 500 to 1000g per plant. Around 15% THC with 1% CBD, so a gentler strain by the numbers. Generous, colourful and undemanding, a lot of plant for a modest name.
