How to grow OG Kush Regular
Taste
Seb's take
Lemon Thai and Pakistani lines meeting Chemdawg give this regular OG Kush its woody, pine and skunk nose, pungent in the way that precedes it into the room. The high is the settling sort — relaxed, sleepy, happy, tingly, with hunger not far behind. Compact and bushy, she stays under 150cm and finishes in under nine weeks.
Where it comes from
Humboldt offer O.G. Kush in regular form, Lemon Thai and Pakistani lines meeting Chemdawg, the elite genetics that spawned the legends around this strain. The record notes it is rumoured to be favoured by American celebrities, which is the sort of provenance that follows OG Kush about whether it asks for it or not. A 75% indica plant of genuine pedigree, offered as regular seed for growers who want to work with the male as well as the female. The lineage does not require inflating; it rarely has.
Nose & flavour
Woody and piney to open, earthy and nutty beneath, with a pungent skunk edge that precedes it into the room. This is the savoury, resinous register of the Kush family, dry and forthright rather than sweet. The lime-green buds the record describes are dense and hard, and they carry the aroma plainly. It does not travel discreetly.
The high
The settling sort. Euphoric and happy at the outset, faintly tingly, before the indica weight draws things toward relaxed, sleepy and hungry. It arrives in its own time and stays put once it does, company for an evening rather than an afternoon. At 20% THC it has the substance to see the night through without hurry.
Growing it
Compact and bushy, with strong, medium branches loading up with dense, hard colas. Indoors she usually stays manageable, below 150cm, though given enough vegetation time she will reach considerably higher; the record's figures run as far as 400cm for a plant allowed its head. Flowering finishes in a brisk 55 to 60 days, with indoor yields spanning 400 to 600 g/m². She does well indoors and in greenhouses but performs best outdoors in semi-humid climates with long, warm summers. A trace 0.1% CBD rounds her out.
