Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Bred from Matanuska Thunderfuck stock and shrouded in the sort of mystery that suits a name like that. Pine, earth and citrus on the nose, with dark green buds that turn faintly blue under cold conditions she rather enjoys; the high is relaxed, happy, euphoric — its bark, it turns out, is not worse than its bite.

Where it comes from

Bred from Matanuska Thunderfuck stock, backcrossed three times — a lineage from the cold Alaskan valley the original name refers to. Royal Queen Seeds keep the finer points shrouded, which rather suits a name like this, but the potency and structure point to careful work behind the mystery. An even 50/50 hybrid with a decidedly frosty pedigree and a fondness for the cold it was born to.

Nose & flavour

Pine, earth and citrus — a fresh, grounded nose with the pine leading and the citrus lifting it. Nothing sweet or fuel-heavy here; the profile stays clean and green. The dark buds turn faintly blue or purple as they finish, and the aroma matches the look: crisp, cool, and honest about its mountain heritage.

The high

Relaxed, happy and euphoric, in an even-handed way that suits the balanced genetics — neither racing nor sinking. At 22% THC there is genuine force behind it, but the character stays sociable. Its bark, it turns out, is rather less alarming than the name; the effect is good company rather than a knockout, and pleasant for it.

Growing it

A manageable 80 to 120cm, with simple requirements and a genuine love of cold climates that many strains would sulk in. Flowering finishes at around 65 days, with yields of 450 to 500 g/m² and moderate resistance to disease. The buds arrive dusted in sparkling trichomes and thick orange hairs. A hardy, forgiving grow that thrives where warmer strains struggle — one for the cooler shed or the northern balcony.
