Five countries deep in the pedigree — Mexico, Colombia, Thailand, Uzbekistan and G13 Hash Plant — and the name undersells the modesty of the growing itself. Barrel-wood and spice on the nose, hard and dry; the effect leans sativa with an indica touch underneath. Buds grow long, thick and heavy enough to bend the branch, so give her support.
Where it comes from
Eva Seeds went five countries deep for this one: Mexico, Colombia, a Meao Thai, Uzbekistan and G13 Hash Plant all sit in the pedigree, a genuine landrace patchwork running eighty per cent sativa. The result is basically sativa with touches of indica, and the name undersells how modest the growing itself turns out to be. A feminized strain built for hashish, the high concentration of hairs making it ideal for the purpose. A proper traveller's lineage, gathered from four corners and a laboratory.
Nose & flavour
Barrel-wood smells and spices, hard and dry, by the record's own words, a nose that reads as aged and austere rather than sweet. There is nothing fruity reaching for you here; this is the woody, spiced, resinous end, in keeping with a plant bred for hash. It is a serious, old-world profile. Dry, spiced and characterful, the sort that suits the extraction it was made for.
The high
The effect is basically sativa with touches of indica underneath, the eighty per cent leaning setting the tone. This is a head-forward experience shaped by that landrace sativa heritage, the indica present only as a quiet counterweight. Company for the daytime, with the character of its far-flung parentage running through it. Bright and clear, in the manner the pedigree would lead you to expect.
Growing it
She reaches 100 to 120cm, a manageable medium, and finishes in 65 to 70 days. Yields span a wide 500 to 1000 g/m², with THC noted at 14 to 17% and a low CBD. She is simple to grow, needs little to survive, and holds up well even under an excess of fertiliser, which forgives a heavy hand. The catch is the buds: long, thick and huge, they bend easily under their own weight, so support them well through bloom. She also takes to energy-saving lamps and sodium alike. A tough, tolerant, generous plant that asks mainly for a bit of scaffolding.
