Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Totally Alpha OG crossed with a Lemon Skunk IBL line, pine and diesel cutting through the citrus on the nose. The high runs relaxed and creative with a proper appetite attached, in a strain descended from decades of Amsterdam's lemon-flavoured bestsellers. Resilient and high-yielding, by all accounts.

Where it comes from

Totally Alpha OG married to a Lemon Skunk IBL line, and the citrus half of that pairing carries a long pedigree. AlphaFem's team trace their lemon lineage back decades, to the days when lemon-flavoured varieties first became fixtures of Amsterdam's coffee shops and sold by the million. Lemon OG is their attempt to distil that history into something resilient and productive rather than merely nostalgic. The OG side, meanwhile, keeps the frame sturdy and the resin honest, so what you inherit is heritage with a backbone.

Nose & flavour

Lemon leads, as the name promises, but it does not have the stage to itself. Pine and diesel cut in behind the citrus, giving the nose a sharper, more resinous edge than a straight lemon variety would offer. The result reads less as a sweet than as a clean, bright sourness with weight underneath it, the sort that lingers rather than fades.

The high

Relaxed and creative, with a proper appetite attached — the sort of company that settles you into a chair, hands you an idea, then quietly suggests you find something to eat. Nothing frantic in it. It runs warm and easy rather than racing, better suited to an unhurried evening than a busy afternoon.

Growing it

Flowering runs 56 to 70 days, reaching around 150cm, with yields near 450 g/m² and THC recorded between 16 and 24%, alongside a stated 2% CBD. AlphaFem describe her as resilient and high-yielding, which reads in the structure — a plant forgiving of a grower's enthusiasm rather than punishing of it. Give her the standard care and she returns it: no exotic feeding schedule, no delicate constitution to nurse. A straightforward citrus grow that rewards patience through the back half of flowering.
