Seb's take

Seb Silverback

OG Kush and Cheese behind a lemon-and-cheese nose with a sweet citrus edge, a combination that made this one popular well beyond Amsterdam. The high runs giggly, creative and energetic, equally suited to day or evening use. Versatile enough for any level of grower, indoors or out.

Where it comes from

OG Kush crossed with Cheese by Devil's Harvest Seeds, a pairing that made this one a fixture in Amsterdam and well beyond. The OG lends the kush pungency and the backbone; the Cheese its unmistakable funk. Sixty per cent indica in the reckoning. A productive, versatile cross whose name the breeder freely admits matters less than its performance, and the performance is what carried it.

Nose & flavour

Lemon and cheese lead, a sweet citrus edge lifting an earthy base. The Cheese parent shows plainly, sharpened by the OG's citrus. A loud, savoury-sweet nose rather than a subtle one.

The high

Giggly, creative and energetic, relaxed underneath rather than wired, an even-tempered effect equally at home in the day or the evening. Good-humoured company. Sociable without tipping into the frantic.

Growing it

Flowering runs 60 to 70 days. The record sets down no height or yield figure, so judge her build as she develops rather than by numbers on a page. THC lands at 20 to 22%. She grows happily indoors or out and is versatile enough for a grower of any experience level, which is much of why she travelled so far. An accommodating plant that meets the cultivator where they are.
