How to grow Jack Herer Fast Version
Taste
Seb's take
The famous Sativa, decorated with the usual prestigious awards, given a fast-flowering makeover that changes nothing but the climate she'll tolerate. Vigorous, high-yielding and epic to smoke by all accounts, with the same pine, pepper and sage complexity as the original. The one concession: she'll now finish outdoors somewhere considerably cooler.
Where it comes from
The original Jack Herer took its name from the cannabis and hemp activist, and that history is worth keeping straight. This is Herbies' fast-flowering version of that famous sativa, crossed with a Fast line to shorten the schedule. The record notes the original's shelf of prestigious awards, and the fast version inherits the genetics wholesale. The one change is practical: she now finishes outdoors in cooler climates than the original would tolerate.
Nose & flavour
Pine and pepper lead, with woody, earthy depth and a sage-like, herbal edge, the full Jack Herer complexity carried through unchanged. A layered nose that rewards attention rather than announcing itself. Resinous and grounded, and unmistakably of the family.
The high
Vigorous and lively, an epic smoke by the breeder's account, focused, energetic and creative, with a talkative sociability to it. Uplifted and happy throughout, at seventeen to twenty per cent THC. A daytime head high that keeps the mind moving without tipping into restlessness.
Growing it
The headline is speed: she finishes in around forty-nine days, unusually quick for a photoperiod, while holding a solid 458 to 549 g/m². Height runs from roughly 90 to 120cm. The fast genetics buy her something useful; she now ripens outdoors somewhere considerably cooler than the original would manage, which extends her range northwards. Vigorous and high-yielding, on a soldier's schedule. A sound choice for a shorter season.
