How to grow Holy Punch
Taste
Seb's take
The Church crossed with Grape, a balanced sativa-indica pairing whose name promises rather more piety than the effect actually delivers. Sweet, spiced and fruity on the nose; relaxed, giggly and euphoric, heavenly by name if not by discipline. Small, compact buds carry a slight blue hue when fully ripened, resilient against humidity and pests alike.
Where it comes from
Green House Seeds crossed The Church with Grape — a pairing that names rather more piety than the effect quite delivers. Seventy per cent indica against thirty sativa, balanced enough to keep both sides in play. The Church lends the backbone; Grape, unsurprisingly, sees to the fruit. A holy name over an entirely worldly plant.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and fruity at the front, with a spiced note keeping it from cloying — the Grape parent well in evidence. A straightforward, appealing nose rather than a complicated one, and none the worse for keeping things simple. Pleasant company for the palate as much as the head.
The high
Relaxed, giggly and euphoric — heavenly by name, if not by any particular discipline. It settles the body while keeping the mood light, the sort of balanced lift that suits company. Warm rather than heavy, and easy to sit with for a while.
Growing it
Medium bushes with plenty of long branching, and she takes well to ScrOG and LST, so there is room for the tidy grower to shape her. Flowering runs 56 to 63 days — allow a minimum of two months, plus a week or so for proper ripening. Yields reach a hefty 700 g/m² of small, compact, resinous buds that turn a slight blue at ripeness. Potency is 20.17%. She shrugs off humidity and pests, which makes her forgiving of a less-than-ideal room. A sturdy, generous plant.
