Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Two African landrace Sativas combined into something that undersells itself on the label — subtle on the nose, considerably less subtle in effect. The energetic African lift comes through in full, leaving you charged rather than settled. Give her the headroom and a short vegetative period; she finishes flowering in a brisk eight weeks.

Where it comes from

Kera Seeds built Dutch Power from two African landrace sativas, and the record names that heritage as the whole of its lineage. The African blood is the entire point: those landraces carry the bright, energetic lift the strain is prized for, and it comes through undiluted. A plant that undersells itself on the label — subtle where you expect noise, and considerably less subtle where it counts.

Nose & flavour

The record notes the aroma and flavour are deliberately subtle, and lists no specific notes — so I will not manufacture any. Quiet on the nose is the honest description here; the character is held back until the effect arrives to make the case instead.

The high

Where the nose is restrained, the effect is not. The record calls it in-your-face, and the energetic lift of the African landrace parents shines through — charged rather than settled, the sort of experience that leaves you ready for whatever the day brings. A true pick-me-up, in the maker's plain phrasing.

Growing it

Give her the headroom and keep the vegetative period short — this full-blown sativa will outgrow everything around her if allowed, settling somewhere between 100 and 125cm. She finishes flowering in a brisk eight weeks, roughly 56 to 63 days, which the record rates among the fastest sativas going. Best grown naturally with room to stretch. No yield figure is recorded, so I will leave that unstated rather than guess — but a fast, vigorous sativa is exactly what the pedigree promises.
