Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Cheese squared, unapologetically — the nose is sharp, cured blue cheese from mid-flower on, pungent in the way that announces itself before the jar is even open. The high runs both directions at once: relaxed and sleepy from one side, focused and happy from the other.

Where it comes from

Dinafem's answer to the question of what happens when you cross Cheese with more Cheese, a deliberate doubling-down on one of Europe's most recognisable strains. There is no exotic third parent to complicate matters; the point was to concentrate the Cheese character rather than dilute it. She carries a full 1 percent CBD alongside the THC. Cheese squared, and unapologetic about it.

Nose & flavour

This is the entire proposition. The nose is sharp cured blue cheese, pungent and skunky, over an earthy base, and it turns up from mid-flower onward rather than waiting for the cure. It announces itself well before the jar is open. Loud is putting it kindly; this one does not travel discreetly, so mind your ventilation from flowering on.

The high

It runs both ways at once, which is the interesting part: relaxed and sleepy from the indica side, focused and uplifted from the sativa, with a happy note tying the two together. Fast-hitting, by the record's account. A versatile effect that can steady you or settle you depending on how much you take, at a listed 20 percent THC.

Growing it

A tall plant, around 250cm, so give her the headroom and plan the space before she uses it. Flowering is quick at fifty-five to sixty days, some fifty-eight, for a solid 525 g/m² indoors. The one real caution is the smell: pungent from mid-flower, she will need serious odour control indoors. Otherwise a straightforward grow, quick to finish and reliable in the yield. Keep the air moving and the carbon filter fresh.
