How to grow Deadhead OG
Taste
Seb's take
Named for fans who'd follow the band anywhere, though this OG is rather less committed — nine weeks from Pre-98 Bubba Kush and SFV OG IBL is about as fast as the family gets. Wood, pine, and earth on the nose; the high is social, euphoric, and energetic, no lingering required.
Where it comes from
Pre-98 Bubba Kush crossed with SFV OG IBL by Cali Connection, two pillars of the OG world, one for the body, one for the structure. The name nods to the devoted fans who would follow their band from town to town, though this particular OG is rather less committed to hanging around: nine weeks is about as fast as the family finishes. A quick OG with a serious pedigree behind it.
Nose & flavour
Wood and pine lead, dry and resinous, over a plain earthy base, the classic OG signature rather than anything sweet or fruity. It is a savoury, forest-floor sort of nose, grounded and a touch sharp. Nothing loud, nothing sugary; just the honest, hashy aroma the OG line is known for.
The high
Social, euphoric and energetic, a brighter, more outward OG than the couch-locking reputation of the family might suggest. Good company for a gathering rather than a solo evening, at a listed 20.50 percent THC. Uplifting and sociable, with no lingering required. One for when there are people about and things to say.
Growing it
Feminized, and notably quick for an OG, around nine weeks, sixty to sixty-five days of flowering. Indoor yields reach 600 g/m², a heavy return that the record warns will need support: prepare poles or a trellis to keep the branches from breaking under the weight. She takes a large dose of phosphorus and potassium around week seven, and wants good ventilation and low humidity late on to keep mould out of those dense flowers. Reward her care and she brings in a substantial crop fast.
