Seb Silverback

85% sativa from Jack Herer and Shiva Skunk, legendary enough to have stayed popular across several decades without changing much. Citrus, sweet, earthy and flowery on the nose, pungent beneath; the high is energetic, uplifted and euphoric, a properly cerebral lift. Fast to flower, generous with yield, and every bit the classic.

Where it comes from

The original article: 85% sativa from Jack Herer and Shiva Skunk, a cross legendary enough to have stayed a grower's favourite across several decades without needing to change much. Herbies keep it faithful. Two names of real standing behind it, and the reputation is entirely deserved, an intense, cerebral plant that has aged remarkably well.

Nose & flavour

Citrus and sweetness up front, earthy and flowery underneath, with a pungent note grounding the whole thing. It is a tropical, fruity aroma with genuine depth to it, the sort that made this line worth keeping in circulation for as long as it has been. Bright, but not thin.

The high

Intense and cerebral, in keeping with the heavy sativa lean: energetic, uplifted and euphoric, with the relaxed note sitting at the edges rather than the centre. A proper lift, the kind sought by anyone after an energising, creative turn of mind. It stays clear-headed, which is much of its enduring appeal.

Growing it

A feminized plant at 15 to 18% THC, with a listed 1% CBD. Flowering is lightning-fast for a sativa this dominant, 57 to 63 days, roughly eight or nine weeks, which is a large part of why growers have stayed loyal. Height runs 110 to 140cm, medium and manageable. Yields are the other draw, high at 549 to 641 g/m². Fast, generous and every bit the classic, a plant whose reputation is built on delivery rather than mystique.
