Another take on the OG Chocolate Thai and Cannalope Haze cross, this one from Blimburn, producing large green buds under a coat of orange hairs reminiscent, they say, of 1980s hash. Sweet earth and chocolate on the nose; the high is uplifting, energetic and creative. A tidy homage to an old formula.
Where it comes from
Blimburn's take on the familiar OG Chocolate Thai and Cannalope Haze pairing, run out to 95% sativa. The lineage is the same well-worn haze-and-Thai formula that has produced several good plants, and this is a tidy homage to it rather than a reinvention. The breeder points to buds reminiscent of the hash of the 1980s, which tells you where their affections lie.
Nose & flavour
Sweet and earthy, with a genuine chocolate note running through, the sort the Thai side of the family is known for. Uncomplicated and warm, more cocoa than sugar, and honest about what it is. A straightforward nose that does the job without theatrics.
The high
Uplifting, energetic and creative, the standard and welcome behaviour of a sativa this dominant. A clear head and a bit of forward momentum, well suited to the daytime and to anything you would rather do than sleep through. There is a listed touch of CBD, 0.8%, alongside the THC, though the effect reads as brightness first and foremost.
Growing it
A feminized plant at 19% THC, flowering in around 65 days, roughly nine weeks. She is tall, 200 to 300cm, so this is a plant that wants either the outdoors or a serious ceiling and a firm training hand.
