Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Sensi Star crossed with an Afghan landrace gives this one a sturdy, Christmas-tree structure and a classic sweet Kush character underneath. Sweet earth and coffee on the nose; the high is relaxed, happy and calming, built for the medicinal end of the shelf. Compact indoors, considerably taller out — give her the headroom outside.

Where it comes from

00 Seeds built Chocolate Kush by crossing Sensi Star with an Afghan landrace, an indica-based plant with a strong, robust structure much like a Christmas tree. The Sensi Star side lends the resin and the refinement, the Afghan the sturdy backbone and the classic Kush character, and the female genetics keep her from growing too tall indoors. A well-matched cross that pairs a modern award-winner with old-world stock for a sweet, dependable result.

Nose & flavour

The nose is sweet and earthy with a distinct coffee note running underneath, a warm, roasted character that gives her real depth. It is a rich, comforting profile, the classic sweet Kush base deepened by that coffee edge. An inviting, moreish aroma, the sort that suits an evening and lingers agreeably in the room.

The high

The effect is relaxed, happy and calming, a settled, comfortable experience that eases the shoulders without heaviness. It is a warm, even-tempered high, gentle on the head and easy on the evening, the sort that keeps good company rather than taking over. A composed, agreeable sort of calm, built for the quieter end of the day.

Growing it

Feminized, with a robust, Christmas-tree structure that stays compact indoors at 70 to 100cm but grows considerably taller outdoors, to around 180 to 250cm, so give her the headroom outside. Flowering is quick at 55 to 60 days, with indoor yields at a solid 400 to 450 g/m² and THC stated at 22%. With the right care she returns impressive weight in a fairly short window. A sturdy, dependable plant that rewards steady attention and suits indoor and outdoor spaces alike.
