Seb's take

Seb Silverback

A 50/50 Skunk and Haze blend built around CBD healing rather than heavy psychoactivity. Cedar and spice up front, citrus, pine and menthol trailing after; the effect is a calming, uplifting body high, happy and relaxing without gluing you to the couch. Genetics undisclosed, character unmistakable.

Where it comes from

Dutch Passion keep the exact parentage to themselves, and the record follows suit: no named mother, no named father, only an even fifty-fifty split of indica and sativa and the unmistakable stamp of Skunk and Haze somewhere back down the line. What is stated plainly is the intent, which was to build a plant around CBD, here declared at 7.5%, rather than chase the usual headroom. The lineage, then, is a matter of character rather than paperwork. The character, at least, is not in doubt.

Nose & flavour

The nose opens on spiced cedar wood, the sort of dry, resinous note you would expect from a cabinet rather than a jar. Behind it come citrus and lemon, a cool thread of menthol, a touch of pine, and a sour, skunky underside that keeps the whole thing honest. Complex without being showy, and rather more layered than the modest cannabinoid figures might lead you to expect.

The high

The effect is a gentle body high, calming and relaxing, happy and quietly uplifting, without ever pinning you to the furniture. With CBD leading and THC held between 7 and 15%, this is a strain that softens the shoulders rather than empties the diary. Sociable enough for company, mild enough to keep your wits about you. Honest about what it is.

Growing it

Feminized, and undemanding with it. Flowering runs a standard 63 to 70 days, and indoor growers can expect around 450 g/m² for their patience. The record offers no final height, so judge her by temperament instead: an even-handed hybrid that neither races nor dawdles, forgiving of a grower still finding their feet. Keep your scissors clean and your feeding measured, and she rewards steadiness over ambition. A tidy, well-mannered plant that asks little and returns a fair, reliable crop.
