Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Pungent earth and citrus on the nose, the product of a family tree running through White Widow, Big Bud and Skunk before the ruderalis arrived to speed things along. High-yielding and reliably potent, the effect settles into a relaxed, happy, calming ease.

Where it comes from

Fast Buds assembled this one from a well-stocked cupboard: White Widow, Big Bud and Skunk in the family tree, with a ruderalis brought in at the end to put the whole thing on an autoflower's clock. Big Bud lends the weight, Skunk the backbone, White Widow the frost, a lineage that reads like a roll-call of the reliable. The ruderalis asks nothing of your light schedule and simply gets on with it.

Nose & flavour

Pungent first and foremost, this does not travel discreetly, over a base of earth with a citrus lift cutting across the top. The Skunk in the background is doing honest work here. A robust nose rather than a delicate one, and one that fills a room before you have asked it to.

The high

Relaxed, happy and calming, an easy settling rather than anything that demands your evening. The 20 percent THC gives it enough to be taken seriously without tipping into the overwhelming. Good company for the sort of hour that wants softening at the edges rather than switching off entirely.

Growing it

An autoflower, so start to finish in around 63 days regardless of the season. She reaches somewhere between 80 and 120cm, medium, manageable, no headroom crisis, and returns a generous 450 to 600 g/m² for the trouble. THC sits at 20 percent. Hardy in the ruderalis manner and forgiving of enthusiasm, which makes her a sound choice for a first auto or a quick turnaround between longer projects.
