Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Sweet citrus and berry on the nose, inherited along with its sunset colouring from parent strain Sunset Sherbert, now paired with Purple Punch at 65% Indica. The high runs euphoric and creative before settling into something calmer — a fair reflection of a lineage built for both flavour and comedown.

Where it comes from

Barney's Farm crossed Sunset Sherbet with Purple Punch to make Blue Sunset Sherbert, and the record is clear about where the looks come from: the sunset colouring is inherited directly from the Sherbet parent, while Purple Punch brings the weight and much of the sweetness. She settles at 65 percent Indica, a lineage assembled as much for how she finishes as for how she smokes, two dessert strains bred together rarely produce anything shy about flavour or colour, and this is no exception.

Nose & flavour

Sweet throughout, with citrus lifting the top and berry filling the middle, the sort of layered, confectioner's nose you would expect from two strains named after puddings. It is bright without being sharp, ripe without turning heavy. A genuinely pretty aroma, and one that carries.

The high

The high opens euphoric and creative, quick and clear-headed, before easing down into something distinctly calmer, a fair reflection of a lineage built for both the lift and the landing. Do mind the numbers, though: at 26 to 28 percent THC this is a sipping strain, not a session one. Take it slowly and it is delightful company; take it greedily and you will not be needed elsewhere this evening.

Growing it

She stays compact at around 80cm and finishes flower in roughly nine weeks, 59 to 63 days on the record, a manageable plant that repays the space handsomely with 650 to 700 g/m² indoors. For potency of this order, that is a generous yield, and the short stature keeps her easy to house and easy to manage. Expect the sunset colouring to come through as she ripens, and give the buds room to breathe given how heavily she loads them.
