Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Big Devil #2 crossed with an in-house Jack Herer Auto, a Sativa-dominant autoflower that goes from seed to harvest in just 9.5 weeks. Spiced, pungent, and lemon-forward on the nose, with a relaxed, medicinal, giggly high, and a Christmas-tree structure built to carry generous side-branch yields.

Where it comes from

Big Devil #2 crossed with an in-house Jack Herer Auto, a third-generation cross that folds the celebrated Haze-leaning Jack into the Big Devil line. The result is sativa-dominant, and grows with the classic Christmas-tree structure — a central spire with generous side branches built to carry weight. Sweet Seeds brought the best of each parent forward: the Big Devil size, the Jack Herer character. A considered piece of breeding.

Nose & flavour

Lemon leads, bright and sharp, courtesy of the Jack Herer side — with a spiced, pungent body beneath it. It is a cleaner, more citrus-forward nose than the rest of the Big Devil family, the Haze heritage cutting through the usual skunk. Zesty up top, resinous underneath, and loud enough to want a filter.

The high

Relaxed and giggly, with a soft, soothing weight behind the good humour — a sociable, easy high at nineteen to twenty per cent that keeps the mood up while settling the body. The sativa lean stops it turning sleepy too soon, so there is daylight in it yet. Cheerful company, more likely to have you talking than dozing.

Growing it

A rewarding grow, by the record's account. Seed to harvest runs about nine and a half weeks, and she reaches a tall 110 to 160 centimetres — give her the headroom. Indoors the Christmas-tree frame carries a whopping 425 to 650 g/m², the multiple side branches doing much of the work; outdoors, up to 350 grams per plant. Stake those branches before the weight arrives, and she will fill them handsomely.
