Seb's take

Seb Silverback

Northern Lights crossed with Snow Storm and a selected Ruderalis, keeping an exceptionally high flower-to-leaf ratio and resin production for an autoflower. Citrus, earth and pepper with a piney edge on the nose; the effect is balanced and clear before settling into properly stoned. Yields sit at the upper end for the type.

Where it comes from

Northern Lights at the head, crossed with Snow Storm and a selected Ruderalis — Victory Seeds' work, and the record's own description points to a Northern Storm heritage behind the name. The Northern Lights parent supplies the settled indica backbone and the famous resin; the Ruderalis the automatic habit. The result keeps an exceptionally high flower-to-leaf ratio and crystal production for an autoflower, and suits indoor or outdoor quarters equally.

Nose & flavour

Citrus and earth lead, with fruit, pepper and a piney edge filling out the profile — a bright, layered nose with real range. The citrus lifts it, the earth grounds it, the pepper adds a little spice and the pine a fresh crispness. More varied than a typical Northern Lights descendant, and appealing for it. A well-composed aroma to grind.

The high

Balanced and clear at the outset, before settling into something properly stoned — a well-judged arc that keeps the head about its business a while before easing the body down. The medium CBD lends a little composure to the twenty-one percent THC. A rounded, agreeable experience that starts lucid and finishes restful; good company for an unhurried evening.

Growing it

Quick, this one — flowering runs a brisk forty-two to fifty-six days, fast even for an autoflower. Height ranges widely, seventy to a hundred and seventy centimetres, so a little training may be wanted for the taller expressions. Yields sit at 500 to 550g per square metre, the upper end for an automatic, with an exceptional flower-to-leaf ratio and resin production to match. A fast, productive, resinous grow that suits either setting; a strong return on a short calendar.
