Seb Silverback

Jack Herer and White Widow, with Ruderalis brought in specifically to tame the sativa sprawl and shorten the wait to ten or eleven weeks. Fruity, hashy character is the promise here, in a plant still hefty enough to reward Screen of Green training. A sativa in spirit, if not in patience required.

Where it comes from

Three strains behind this one — Jack Herer and White Widow supply the character, and Ruderalis was brought in with a specific brief: to tame the sativa sprawl and shorten the wait. Paradise Seeds assembled the trio into a sativa-dominant hybrid, seventy percent so, that keeps its heady disposition while gaining a grower's convenience. A sativa in spirit, if not in the patience it demands.

Nose & flavour

The record names no specific terpenes, but the breeder promises a fruity, hashy character, and that is fair to relay. A sweet fruitiness over an older, hashy depth — the sort of profile that nods to the classic parents behind it. Better to let the jar fill in the particulars than to embellish them here; the disposition, at least, is clearly appealing.

The high

The record leaves the effect unlisted, so the makeup must speak for it — twenty percent indica to seventy sativa points firmly toward the cerebral and uplifting end. A heady, sativa-forward experience true to the Jack Herer and White Widow heritage, in keeping with the fourteen to eighteen percent THC on offer. Expect brightness rather than sedation; the family disposition is not a subtle one.

Growing it

The Ruderalis earns its place here, taming the sativa's usual sprawl and bringing harvest within ten or eleven weeks — flowering runs sixty-five to eighty days. The record fixes no height, though the whole point of the cross was restraint, and the plant is still hefty enough to reward Screen of Green or Sea of Green training. Yields land at 450g per square metre of large bud. A productive grow that delivers a sativa's character without a sativa's calendar.
